Abstract

The parasitic and saprophytic mycoflora occurring on black alder and grey alder trees was studied. On black alder 28 species of fungi were identified, of which: on the leaves 3 species, on the bark of dead branches 3 species, on wood (wood rotting fungi) 20 species, and 2 species on the ground. On gray alder 21 species of fungi were identified, of which: on the leaves 3 species, on male flowers 1 species, on female fl owers 1 species, on the bark of dead branches 4 species, and on wood 12 fungi. Some fungi occur on both host plants, and among them the most frequent and the most significant are: Armillaria mellea, Fomes fomentarius, Fomitopsis pinicola, Inonotus radiatus and Laetiporus sulphureus.
